Attendance: 353 Bamber Bridge: Not available Hyde United: Martin Jones, Paul Cox (Darren Esdaille), George Switzer, Gus Wilson, Jason Gallagher, Vince Brockie, Ged Kimmins (Paul Varden), Val Owen, Lutel James, Tony Carroll, Derek Hall (David Nolan) The Tigers got off to an excellent start when Jason Gallagher scored on 3 minutes. Val Owen put them further ahead when his shot deflected past Barton in the Bamber Bridge goal. Against the run of play Bamber Bridge pulled a goal back on the stroke of half time when Darren Royle headed home Rob Ward's cross. Midway through the second period Royle was tripped when attempting to go round the Hyde keeper and Mick Doherty sent Martin Jones the wrong way from the spot on 65 minues. Hyde regained the initiative when Paul Varden lofted the ball over the advancing Barton and it was Varden again who put the issue beyond doubt when he added a fourth for the visitors in the final minute.
