Attendance: 931 Hyde United: Arthur Williams, Dale Hawtin, George Switzer, Gordon Tucker, Billy Garton, Colin Murphy, Ged Kimmins, Tony Camilleri, Colin Little, Chris Simms, David Nolan. Subs not used: Darren Pybus, Jason Donnelly, Alex Mayfield. Runcorn: Morris, bates, Robertson, Byrne, Ruffer, Anderson, Thomas, Connor, Hughes, Brady, McInerney. Subs: Smith for Hughes, Doherty for McInerney, Curtis. Half Time was extended as a snowstorm almost led to the game being abandoned. At 2-0 up Hyde spectators poured onto the pitch with shovels, brushes and bare hands to get the markings clear, one chap even dashed home to provide an orange ball so the second half could go ahead. At the same time Runcorn fans were throwing snow back onto the pitch in an attempt to get the match replayed! |
