An equaliser cam in the 29th minute when Dave Leaver unleashed a shot which Arthur Williams in the Hyde goal could only parry, Kenny Mayers was on hand to crash the ball into the roof of the net. Brig took the lead two minutes after the interval when Kenny Mayers slotted home a Steve O'Neill cross. The Tigers fought their way back into the game and stunned the home side with two goals in two minutes, Ged Kimmins again on 59 minutes and a Colin Little header on 61. It was then Brigs turn to fight back and their reward came in the 70th minute when Steve Senior headed home the equaliser, the draw kept Bamber Bridge top of the table.
