Hyde recorded their first league win since September after a deserved 4-1 victory at home to Bamber Bridge, who are now only a point above the relegation zone.

The visitors, arguably against the run of play and with their first chance of the game took the lead as they found Waddecar who cut in from the left on his right foot and curled a shot goal wards which crashed off the crossbar, the rebound falling to the experienced James Dean who slotted in.

The tigers were level when Tongue’s corner towards the front post was flicked on by Fagbola into the six yard box where Sharp was free to fire home.

Hyde stepped up the gears in the second half and Sharp doubled his tally by first getting onto the end of a long throw and then curling the rebound into the bottom corner. Tongue continued his fine goal scoring form as he found himself picking the ball up on the right of the box, shooting first time to find the corner of the net.

The tigers made sure the game was out of sight when Crawford added a fourth by starting and finishing the move bursting almost the full length of the pitch and firing into the back of the net from 10 yards.
