In a game that could and should have been more than three, Hyde ran out comfortable winners over basement side North Ferriby with goals from Connor Simpson, Tom Pratt and Chib Chilaka.
Hyde dominated possession from the get go, with the visitors playing a back five looking to keep the tigers at bay. The plan was halted on 19 minutes when an excellent ball by Tom Pratt found Simpson who ran into the area and fired past Exall in goal.
North Ferriby’s recent off the field troubles unfortunately seem to transcend onto the pitch too with very limited chances throughout the game, only two strikes from substitute Jordan Harrison testing Hyde keeper Crook.
Hyde continued to create numerous chances but Exall was there with some outstanding saves to keep the score tight. That was until the 67th minute when Pratt ran in from the left to get the second.
Chib Chilaka replaced first scorer Simpson at half time and managed to get himself a late goal, a deserved third for the home side, when an intelligent pass from young academy prospect Paddy Lane found him on the edge of the box.
The result leaves the tigers within sight of the play offs and North Ferriby still deeply rooted to the bottom of the table.
