A long ball on 2 minutes saw Simon Yeo race clear of the defence and coolly slot past the advancing Dickinson. Guiseley tried to get back into the game when Parke's chip was headed off the line by Richard Annan. Yeo thought he had scored his second when he headed home Rodwell's chip, but he was adjudged to be offside. Peter Band trapped the ball on 46 minutes and then released Hall down the right, his cross was superb and Steve Haw stooped to head home. Guiseley came back at Hyde and pulled a goal back on 52 minutes, Michael Morrell bursting through the centre and shooting past recalled goalkeeper Jonathan Scargill. Parke played Airdrie through but this time Scargill made a terrific save. Haw & Yeo combined for Hyde and Yeo let fly a thunderbolt which shaved the post. On 85 minutes, the result was sealed with what must be a contender for goal of the season. Simon Yeo received the ball 20 yards out on the left hand side of the area, he set himself and then blasted the ball into the opposite top corner.
