Why do we never play well at Frickley?. Frickley hit a long free-kick to Green, their huge centre-forward, who brought the ball down and had a shot blocked by the Hyde defence. Gary Hatto unleashed an 18 yard volley on 19 minutes but his thunderous shot dipped just over the crossbar. Yeo tried to get Hyde going but was caught by Hilton's last ditch tackle after a great run down the right. Hatto again went close for Frickley, this time with a chip which eluded the far post. A Paul Richardson error early in the second half let in Armstrong but Edgington saved well with his legs. Frickley took the lead on 52 minutes when a cross from the left hit the bar and fell to Green who blasted home from six yards. A Lloyd Richardson cross was caught by the wind and almost deceived O'Connor in the Frickley goal, but he recovered to catch on the goal line. In the 81st minute Paul Richardson was adjudged to have fouled Green and Gary Hatto placed the ball to Edgington's left to score. Frickley were awarded another penalty on 87 minutes after Annan had brought down a Frickley forward. Hatto again sent Edgington the wrong way, this time to his right. In the final minutes, Moncrieffe beat the goalkeeper to the ball but just to prove it wasn't our day, his header was cleared off the line. Monday should be fun!!!!
