Early pressure from Whitby ended when Toman headed a free-kick past the post after slack marking from Hyde. Simon Yeo burst away from the Town defence but pushed the ball too far ahead of himself and Kenny raced out to pick up the loose ball. The Tigers took the lead on 9 minutes when Prince Moncrieffe rose above Kenny to head in Lloyd Richardson's corner from close range. Kojoe Taylor made a mistake at the back which let in Carl Chillingworth who calmly slotted past Edgington at level the scores on 33 minutes. Kurt Edgington made a good save low to his right after Robinson had headed a corner towards the post. Whitby took the lead from the penalty spot on 60 minutes after Kojoe Taylor had fouled, DAVID LOGAN forcefully shot home, the power beating Edgington. Hyde stepped up a gear after this with Haw shooting just wide, Lloyd Richardson clipping the post from 20 yards and Paul Taylor forcing a cracking save from Kenny. On 75 minutes, Richard Annan played the ball through to Chris Dolby who turned on a sixpence before firing a low, hard cross which SCOTT BRENCHLEY converted from close range. On 80 minutes close play on the right led to Brenchley flicking the ball up for MIKE TURNER to head home his first for The Tigers and take all three points.
