Attendance: 310

Ossett Town: Overton, Bailey, Jackson, Fargher, Low, Wright, Ellam, Yates, Boshell, Pembleton, Nelthorpe. Subs: Peterson, Assenso, Freeman, Nicholson, Mackie.

Hyde United: Peter Crook, James Burke, Kyle Brownhill, Ross Daly, Tyrone Gay, Harry Coates, Tom Pratt (Chris Sutherland), Janni Lipka (Phattaraphol 'Big' Khamsuk), Dominic Marie, David Brown (Max Leonard), Luke Porritt. Subs not used: Karl Jones, Matthew Beadle.

An untidy game from start to finish, with both sides struggling to play football on a heavy pitch.

Neither side was able to take any control of the ball or the game in the opening 45 minutes, with the referee feeling the need to be heavily involved in play. Ossett Town certainly had the two best chances heading over and firing over from 6 years within the space of 90 seconds. Hyde created a couple of half chances with the best of these falling to David Brown who hit the target but failed to get the power.

On 32 minutes the referee pulled out a straight red for Sam Wright following a recess challenge on David Brown although credit to Wright who stayed on the pitch to check brown was alright before trudging off to the dressing room

HT 0-0

Ossett changed to three at the back and looked to keep their shape in midfield and upfront, which allowed space for Hyde to get around them and in behind.

This allowed a switch of play and a smart run by Luke Porritt which finished with a goal when for the winger when his cross evaded the keeper to find the back of the net. 1-0 Hyde

Max Leonard and Chris Sutherland were rolled on by Darren to add an injection of fresh legs, replacing the hard working Tom Pratt & David Brown, and this allowed them to push a spirited Ossett back and to score their second goal through Luke Porrett

Big Khamsuk was the final of the three Hyde subs, and the game finished with another clean sheet for the squad & the impressive Peter Crook.

FT 2-0 Hyde United FC
