589 inside the ground today, is a fantastic reward for the recent form of the Tigers, and this included a large number of new supporters, as well as a family of four MKDons fans who returned to the game as guests, with their young sons running out as mascots before kick off.

It has been a hectic couple of weeks for the Tigers, and the squad were disappointed with the 2-2 result on Tuesday, and were determined to make sure they secured a win and 3 points against Ossett Albion today.

Hyde started quickly, with three decent chances, and a fantastic opportunity to go in front when Luke Porritt beat his man (not for the last time in the game) and Big Khamsuk arrived late into the box hitting the ball on the volley but the shot was straight at the Ossett keeper who reacted well pushing it over.

The opening 20 minutes were really about Hyde domination, and the watching crowd sensed a rout, but Ossett grew in confidence as the game went on, got closer to their men and started to cancel out the Tigers attacks.

With half time fast approaching, the Tigers finally managed to get hold of the ball and a good move, played out from the back had the hard working Tom Pratt pulling the ball back to Karl Jones who played a square pass for Big Khamsuk to run on to just outside the right hand centre of the Ossett box and his beautifully placed curling effort flew past the keeper and into the goal.

HT 1-0 HYDE UNITED

Hyde started the second half quickly and looked to push on, with Tom Pratt the main threat down the Hyde right. Two or three great runs and crosses, without anyone on the end, and then the moment of the half when Kyle Harrison played Tom in and his cut back fell to Big Khamsuk who struck the ball along the floor but his goal bound shot hit Karl Jones 3 yards out and he was flagged for off side as he spun to fire the ball home.

The final 15 minutes were tense. Ossett grew in confidence and had some joy with the diagonal pass into the left hand channel allowing them to get a couple of shots on target as well as winning three corners in the final 10 minutes, but the 4 minutes of injury time ran down and Hyde were able to celebrate another win and 22 games without defeat in the league.

FT 1-0 HYDE UNITED FC

Fantastic to see people queuing at the turnstiles to get in and a league crowd of 589 shows how far we have come in a short time.

Darren will be pleased with the points and with Matthew Beadle able to get some rest and Chris Sutherland back in full training, we can look forward to the run in to Christmas with a really positive feeling around the squad and Ewen Fields.
