Hyde were professional and efficient, and can now park the league for six days and concentrate on preparing for a massive FA Cup game on Friday 3rd November.

Darren will be pleased with the fact that all players made it through the game without any injuries, meaning he is able to prepare for the visit of MK Dons with a full squad to choose from.

The opening 45 minutes was all Hyde, and the opening goal was just a matter of time with Harry Coates heading in unopposed from a Janni Lipka corner. The second was an individual effort from Luke Porritt who brought down a high clearance on the left hand touch line before driving in between two players and firing home right footed (not a misprint!) from 18 yards. 2-0 Tigers.

The remaining 25 minutes of the half were all Hyde with Matt Beadle, Big Khamsuk, Tom Pratt & Janni Lipka all failing to score when they really should have and the half ended with the Tigers comfortable, but not safe at 2-0

HT 2-0 HYDE UNITED FC

The second half was much the same story. Goole are short of a number of quality players, and it looks like it is going to be a long season ahead for them unless they can bring a few in.

Big Khamsuk struck an unstoppable left foot volley from six yards running on to an exquisite Tom Pratt ball. 3-0 HYDE

Hyde then allowed themselves to relax and Goole capitalised on some sloppy passing to get in behind and score a consolation goal. I am sure the whole squad were upset with conceding, and immediately picked up the levels again, with James Burke making it 4-1 with a 24 yard shot which kicked up off one of the many bobbles on the pitch to evade the sprawling Goole keeper.

Tom Pratt clearly won a penalty when clean through and tripped in the box, but the referee and linesman both failed to make a decision. Pete Boyle came on for Luke Porritt on 75 minutes, reaching a landmark of 99 appearances for Hyde, and was joined by Karl Jones and another Academy graduate, Lewis Haydock before the final whistle.

Three minutes of injury time ran down and the Tigers returned to the eastern fringes of Cheshire with 3 points and a move up to 4th place in the table.

FT 1-4 HYCE UNITED FC

That is twenty unbeaten in the league stretching back to a home draw against Radcliffe on Saturday 11th March. It is also 5 unbeaten in all competitions and the Tigers will be keen to make it six next week.
