Match Details: Monday 28th August 2017 Northern Premier League First Division North

Subs not used: Ryan Ellison, Lawrence Hunter. Hyde started well against a Glossop side who were sitting above them in the league, although they came into the game having lost 2-0 away at Skelmersdale on Saturday The opening 25 minutes had the Tigers in control but the game changed on 27 minutes when Russ Saunders was shown a straight red for a deliberate handball outside the box. Glossop reorganized and set up to hold on for 60 minutes. Hyde controlled the next 15 minutes and really should have scored twice with Karl Jones spurning the best of the chances. HT 0-0 The second half continued in the same fashion, with Glossop sitting deep and Hyde looking to play the ball over the top in behind the two banks of four. The Tigers forced a number of excellent saves out of the stand in Glossop keeper and Kyle Harrison shot wide when he had the goal at his mercy. Several minutes of injury time and a phantom sending off still could break the deadlock and Glossop were the happier of the two sides when the referee eventually called time. FT 0-0 Although we left Surrey Street with a point more than last year, Darren and the boys will be disappointed with the weekends points haul. |
