It was the Yorkshire side that had the first chance of the game when they were awarded a free kick on the edge of the box which was lashed just wide of the post. Critchley went close when his rising shot flew just over from twenty yards. A corner gave Hyde the next chance and Paul Taylor's looping header had to be tipped over by O'Connor, the next corner saw Stuart Walker have a shot cleared off the line. Neil Hall broke free down the right but chose to pull the ball back when he should really have tried his luck and the chance was gone. Hayward tested Bennett early in the second half but the keeper lept to save his goalbound effort. Scott Collins put Frickley ahead on 58 minutes when he slid in at the back post and beat Bennett. Two minutes later a cross from Walker was met by Jody Banim who headed homefrom eight yards to equalise. Andy Hayward put Frickley back in front on 69 minutes with a shot which was deflected past unlucky Bennett. Simon Yeo made the scoreline 2-2 on 81 minutes when his delicate touch, after Taylors chip, rolled into the goal. Frickley won the game a minute later when John foster headed past his own goalkeeper after a cross from the right. Paul Taylor went close on 89 minutes with a glancing header wide of the post andjust to complete his miserable day Foster was then sent-off for his second booking.
