Attendance: 223

Goole AFC: Dearnley, Shelley, Jeff, Varley, Colbear, Constable, Robson, Dixon, Chambers, Law, Barrett. Subs: Modest, Nysami-Hadji, Morton, Taylor.

Hyde United: Russell Saunders, Kyle Harrison, Ryan Ellison (Oliver Ford), Janni Lipka, Harry Coates, Paddy Miller, Chris Sutherland, Phattaraphol 'Big' Khamsuk (Lewis Hancock), Matthew Beadle, Pete Boyle (Louis Holt), Lawrence Hunter. Subs not used: Tunde Owolabi, Joe Hardcastle.

Hyde started well and controlled the majority of the play in the opening 45 minutes hitting the crossbar twice through Paddy Miller and Janni Lipka. Goole looked like a side who have suffered the curse of relegation, and although they toiled in the field they struggled to get any joy with the ball, or even stay on their feet in the case of the number 11.

HT 0-0

The second half had Oliver Ford replacing a booked Ryan Ellison and the Tigers continued their dominance of the ball and the chances, with Matthew Beadle firing off a couple of half chances, and Oliver Ford forcing a decent save from the young Goalkeeper when he got off a smart shot from a Chris Sutherland pull back in the box. Darren managed to give to more graduates of the Academy pitch time with Louis Holt replacing Pete Boyle, and Lewis Haydock coming on for Big Khamsuk with 10 to play.
