Hyde drew first blood at Jackson Avenue on 28 minutes when Banim's shot was parried by the goalkeeper Simon Yeo was on hand to tuck away the rebound. Nantwich drew level on 33 minutes and took the lead on 46 minutes when a great through ball was tucked away by the centre forward. Hyde had a few chances go begging, McConnell, Banim, Haw and Brenchley all going close but it wasn't until 83 minutes that they drew level. A cross from the left was flicked on by Haw and Jody Banim curled a half volley round the goalkeeper and into the far corner. Extra time saw Nantwich retake the lead on 101 minutes and for all Hyde's possession it looked as though they were going out. This was not to be the case as on 115 minutes Simon Yeo got round the back and lashed home his 12th of the season. Hyde then won the game after Hall's cross on 118 minutes was turned in by Jody Banim.
