Marine shot wide from the left early on but really should have scored in this top of the table clash. A mistake at the back by Marine saw Simon Yeo pounce and steer home his tenth goal of the season to put Hyde ahead on 11 minutes. Peter Band had a header saved by Clarke after a cross from Aspinall. Marine equalised on 35 minutes when John Morgan latched onto Townsend's cross to fire past Graham Bennett. Jody Banim took on a defender and fired in a near post shot but Clarke managed to beat the ball away. The second half started with Gus Wilson feeding Yeo who cut in from the right but Clarke saved his shot. Clarke again came to Marine's rescue as he tipped Banim's free kick round the post. Mark Howard chased a long ball and Yeo fired over after Howards header fell to him. Marine went close when a corner was flicked on at the front post but no connection was made as the ball fizzed across the goalmouth. In the last minute Jody Banim whipped in a free kick but Clarke again saved to earn Marine a point.
