Attendance: 247 Harrogate Town: MacGillivray, Samuels, Merris, Bolder, White, killock, Nowakowski (Platt), Dean, Chilaka (Clayton), Beesley (Allan), Forrest. Subs Not Used - Osborne, Bloomer, Bolland, Da Veiga. Hyde FC: David Carnell, Kelvin Lomax, Luke Ashworth, Robbie Williams, Adam Griffin, Alex Brown (Stefan Cox), Liam Tomsett, Matthew Cassidy (Tunji Moses), Scott Spencer, Phil Jevons, Ryan Crowther (David Poole). Subs not used: Matthew Blinkhorn, Callum Byrne, Josh Brizell, Ashley Frith. Hyde crashed out of the FA cup thanks to a goal 5 minutes from the end of extra time. It was third time lucky for the replay of this game having been called off twice due to the poor state of the Wetherby Road pitch, meaning the game had to be switched to Station View – the home of Harrogate Railway. It was a scrappy first half on a very difficult surface, with neither side threatening; Alex Brown thought he had won a penalty when he went down under a challenge from Dave Merris only to be booked for diving, Kelvin Lomax then had a shot just wide. Harrogate only threatened briefly with a couple of goalmouth scrambles being dealt with by the Tigers defence. The best chance of the half fell to Ryan Crowther after a great exchange of passes between Scott Spencer and Phil Jevons found him on the left but he screwed his shot wide. Just seconds into the second half Harrogate had a goal disallowed as Paul Beesley was given offside, but despite dominating possession it was Hyde who had the best opportunities and had 4 in the space of 5 minutes. First off, Phil Jevons just failed to connect with a cross and Harrogate goalkeeper Craig Macgilvray had to keep out efforts from Spencer, Crowther, Stefan Cox and Adam Griffin. The defining moment came in the last minute of the game when home defender Alan White missed his header and Jevons was set free, but Macgilvray once again pulled off a great save. Into extra time and it was Harrogate who looked the fresher and although they adopted a shoot on sight policy it was easy for David Carnell to deal with. As the time ticked down it was substitute Dan Clayton who picked the ball up on the halfway line, advanced and beat a couple of defenders before his mis-hit shot flew over Carnell and into the top corner.
