Managers of Hyde FC
Ged Coyne October 1992 to November 1993
Ged Coyne, who made a few appearances for the Tigers in the early eighties, arrived at Ewen Fields after Cliff Roberts and lasted just over a year. Having previously been manager at East Manchester where he enjoyed success, he became assistant to Les Sutton at Mossley and eventually took over at Seel Park before joining Hyde. Things improved only slightly under Coyne who was sacked after an inconsistant spell of results. Credited with bringing talent such as Ged Kimmins to the club and getting the best from players already here such as Phil Chadwick and David Nolan, he arguably helped to set the foundations for the better years to come. He went on to manage Glossop North End and Curzon Ashton. Brother of Peter Coyne, Photo used with thanks from Mossleyweb | |
