Match Details: Monday 5th April 2010 Conference North
Attendance: 356 Hyde United: Mark Halstead Dean Stott Mark Lees Scott McNiven Chris Lynch Nathan D'Laryea Matty Burke Ricky Mercer David McNiven (Scott Mooney) Kevin Holsgrove Nathan Arnold (Daniel Douglas-Pringle) Subs not used: Lee Rick Domaine Rouse Ben Rowbotham Harrogate Town: Not available Hyde maintained their impressive home form with a hard earned victory over relegation threatened Harrogate Town on Monday night, but the visitors pressed them all the way and were perhaps unlucky not to take something from the game. The all important goal came on 30 minutes when David McNiven side-footed home a Mark Lees cross. Kevin Holsgrove had already gone close and both he and Nathan Arnold were causing trouble with their pace for the Harrogate back line. Matty Burke brought an excellent save out of Stephen Hernandez on sixty minutes and from the resultant corner Hyde almost added a second from an almighty scramble before the ball was hacked clear. The rest of the half belonged to the visitors but despite their pressure few clear cut chances were created although Dave Syers should have done better on 77 minutes when he blazed over. Chris Lynch and Nathan D’Laryea stood firm for Hyde as Harrogate pushed forward but the Tigers hung on for three important points. |
