POB: Easington Defender who was a schoolboy at Ipswich Town before turning professional with Burnley in 1991. Played 134 times for the Clarets scoring once before signing for York City in 2001. Was made player-manager in 2003 aged only 27 but promptly saw the minstermen drop down to the conference and was then sacked in November 2004 but stayed on as a player. Made a few appearances for Bury between 2005-2007 where he scored a comical own goal against Darlington, breaking his nose in the process and gaining him nationwide exposure. He signed for Hyde in the summer of 2007 and is also employed by Bury as manager of their centre of excellence. Also had loan spells with Torquay United, Halifax Town, Harrogate Town and Southport during his long career. Left in January 2009 to take up the Assistant Manager's role at Bury.
