Former Stockport County manager Gannon took over in September 2021 in what was seen as a marquee appointment for the club.
Having managed at Dundalk, Stockport County on three occassions, Motherwell, Peterborough United, Port Vale and Northwich Victoria he had a wealth of experience and knowledge, however, despite some promising county cup performances, Hyde's league form plummeted and they were only a place outside the relegation zone when the board parted company with Gannon.
